African Union Commission on Human and People’s Rights

Our CEO Dr Victoria R Nalule, MCIArb was invited as an Independent Expert to contribute to the work of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Sharing a panel with distinguished Professors, she addressed the key issues concerning Climate Change, Human Rights and Extractives. She used this opportunity to ask the African Union to consider embracing ‘Energy Progression’. She also spotlighted the need to analyse the current extractive agreements specifically the presence of stabilisation Clauses. She elaborated on the need for the new ‘Generation of Extractive Laws and Contracts’ that can ensure that African countries benefit from Critical Minerals. Dr Victoria R Nalule, MCIArb also encouraged them to get all her books! us!
